1. Who we are

2. The personal information we collect

• Identity and contact details (name, ID or registration number, address, email, telephone)
• Financial, tax and accounting information needed to provide our services
• Information about your business, entities, trusts and beneficial owners where relevant
• Correspondence and records arising from our engagement
• Website and enquiry information you submit to us
• Recruitment information, including any CV and supporting details you send us through our Careers page or by email

3. Why we process it

• To provide audit, accounting, tax, secretarial and advisory services
• To meet our legal, regulatory and professional obligations
• To communicate with you and respond to enquiries
• To comply with the Companies Act, the tax Acts, the Auditing Profession Act and the Financial Intelligence Centre Act 38 of 2001

4. The lawful basis

We process personal information where it is necessary to perform our engagement with you, to comply with a legal obligation, to pursue a legitimate interest, or with your consent. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it, subject to our legal and professional duties.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only where necessary, for example with SARS and the CIPC, with our software and IT operators, with our wealth partner Anchor Capital where you ask us to facilitate an introduction, and with regulators or professional bodies where required. Operators are bound to protect your information and to process it only on our instruction.

6. How we protect it

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal information against loss, unauthorised access and misuse, and we require our operators to do the same.

7. How long we keep it

We retain records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet the retention periods required by law and professional standards (for example, the record-keeping periods under the Companies Act, the Tax Administration Act and the Auditing Profession Act), after which they are securely destroyed.

8. Your rights

• To be told what personal information we hold about you and to request access to it
• To request correction or deletion of personal information that is inaccurate or no longer required
• To object to processing in certain circumstances
• To lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator

9. Cookies and the website

This website uses only the minimal cookies and similar technologies necessary for it to function. For website statistics we use a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect or store any information that identifies you personally. It records aggregate measures only, such as page views, referring sites, and the type of device used. Live news and newsletter content is loaded from third-party feeds. We do not sell your personal information.
